NON-MEDICAL & MEDICAL

SHORT-TERM MISSIONS ARE AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO DO AND SEE GOD'S WORK IN DIFFERENT PLACES. A SHORT-TERM MISSION TEAM MEMBER IS AN AMBASSADOR NOT JUST FOR OUR CHURCH BUT FOR CHRIST. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS PERTINENT TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN CHURCH OF SOUTHLAND CHINO'S SHORT TERM MISSIONS.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING

Applicants must be a member of Church of Southland Chino who continuously fulfill the following criteria:

  1. Regular Sunday worship attendance for 1 year
  2. Regular attendance of cell group
  3. Regular tithing
  4. Completed Experiencing God Discipleship at COS Chino
  5. Attended Encounter Retreat

Applicants must also provide one (1) reference, provided in the application.

If you do not satisfy any of the requirements but feel God is calling you to participate, please email missions@churchofsouthlandchino.com.

College seniors interested in participating in one of our STM trips can speak with Pastor Amos.

EXPECTATIONS

To help prepare their minds and hearts, all team members are expected to participate in the following:

  • There will be mandatory training and team meeting dates for all trips that will take place on Fridays & Sundays.

  • Short-term teams are expected to attend these activities together:
    • Weekly team meetings
    • Friday Night Praise & Prayer
    • Evangelism Outing

SHORT TERM TRIPS FOR 2026

  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: July 23 - August 4
  • Nicaragua (Medical): August 7-15 (medical and non-medical personnel are needed) 
  • Coban, Guatemala: October 2-10
  • Tokyo, Japan: December 9-21

IMPORTANT DATES

  • February 8: Info Meeting
  • February 14: Application Due

Training and Weekly Meetings:
  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: June 6 - August 9
  • Nicaragua: June 7 - August 23
  • Coban, Guatemala: August 23 - October 18 (subject to change)
  • Tokyo, Japan: November 1 - December 27 (subject to change)
